I’m a writer and philosopher, with BA and MA degrees in philosophy, and an MRes and PhD in social theory. I’ve worked as a lecturer, tutor, librarian and policy researcher.
My main philosophical interests are existentialism and the human condition, how the latter is related to our place in the living world, and how modern technologies might change it. On this site you can find links to my work on these topics, as well as a blog which I use to record half-formed thoughts and opinions on various issues.
I live in rural Gloucestershire with my wife, the novelist Rebecca Pert, and our two children.
